Fibercord is a leading supplier of high quality industrial Nylon 6.6 fibers for textiles reinforcement.
We have a long history in the production of Nylon 6.6 fibers. In 1948, Du Pont starts up its first production lines of textile Nylon 6.6 on its site in Berazategui, Buenos Aires. Aiming at a rapid expansion, in 1963 Du Pont builds and starts up the plant for high-tenacity industrial Nylon 6.6. In 1998, Du Pont forms an alliance of equal stakes (Joint Venture) with the private holding Sabanci from Turkey for its global division of industrial Nylon fibers. As a result, DUSA – Du Pont Sabanci Argentina is set up. In 2005, Du Pont finally sells its stake in the fiber business and Kordsa Argentina is set up, a company completely owned by the Turkish private holding Sabanci. In 2014, the Sabanci holding decides to sell its subsidiary in Argentina and Fibercord is set up, a company fully owned by argentine capital.
